Man found dead in Demi Moore's swimming pool

How many have to die until we do something?

Yes, no one murdered him, but is he no less dead?

A 21-year-old man drowned in the backyard pool of the Beverly Crest home of actress Demi Moore early Sunday, authorities said.http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-demi-moore-dead-man-in-her-swimming-pool-20150719-story.html

Pool violence

Pools should be classed as deadly weapons like guns and cars and people should really have a verified need to have a swimming pool. Not a want.. a need.

People wanting to have pools should be subject to a background check to make sure they are responsible people and they should be required to lock up the pool area when not in use. While in use there needs to be adult supervision at all time. Adults leaving the house and whose children drown should be subject to legal charges.

It is a free country, but when children's lives are on the line, some things really need to be phased out.  Swimming pools are also bad for the environment and waste water.

If we can't outlaw swimming pools altogether, then we at least need to enact commonsense laws to prevent these senseless and unnecessary deaths of children from happening over and over again.

Stop pool violence. Contact your representative in government today and demand action.

The Facts About Swimming Pools

Drowning is the leading cause of injury death among children aged 1–4 years

(source )

From 2005-2009, 683 unintentional drownings per year on average in swimming pools.

You really don't NEED to have a swimming pool. You want one and you may feel like you have the right to have one, but you don't NEED one.

More children die every year in swimming pools than die by gun violence. This is simply unacceptable.

A swimming pool is an accident waiting to happen.

We need sensible laws and restrictions on swimming pools.
- required pool safety classes
- pool covers and locks in place while not in use
- jail time if you are caught with an unattended pool with no pool cover and lock
- jail time if someone drowns in your pool
- pool construction companies should be held liable if a pool they build results in a death of a child
- restrictions on the maximum depth of a pool. Does anyone really need a pool that is 8 feet deep? We propose a limit to the depth of pools to a maximum of 4 feet. After a year of the passage of the law, all pools over 4 feet in depth will be illegal and no further pools can be built that are deeper.
- No swimming pools can be built within 1000 feet from a school.
- Pools will be registered with the federal government.
- If you are going to build a new pool, you will need to attend the pool safety classes.
- If you are a user of drugs or declared mentally incompetant, you will not be allowed to have a pool in your house.
- It will be a crime if a child gains access to your pool and it is unattended and without pool safety covers with locks

We are not calling for banning pools altogether, just establishing some sensible laws that will save lives.

If we can save just ONE LIFE it will be worth it.

The right to have a swimming pool isn't in the constitution, you know...

STOP THE INSANITY!!!
